Not in defiance, but in love

Today I received the body and blood of Christ from two young girls
And they looked more like Jesus to me
than the ones who tell them they shouldn’t

We were baptized in the same waters as you
Read the same scriptures
But our gospel is not the same

Would Christ tell his sisters not to share his body and blood?
Christ died so that they could

When she gave Christ her own body and her own blood
Not in defiance, but in love
